JUNE 2022 MINUTES

 JUNE 15, 2022

This was the initial meeting and handover of the information from the Class of 2021.  The previous group aided us in answering all questions and giving us guidance on how to proceed.  

Amber Harris was appointed Chair of this year's group.  

Christy Powell accepted the responsibility for being the point for email information dispersal. 

Tammy Hebert had set up all the social accounts: Facebook, Instagram, and the website for the Class of 2023 and will operate these throughout the year. 

Tammy Hebert is the chair of the Reserved-Painted Parking Project. 

Jennifer Smith was appointed treasurer.  


ITEMS DISCUSSED:

FUNDRAISERS: 

Reserved-Painted Parking Project: 

Applications are accepted from any Senior, Junior, or Sophomore through July 31.  Designs must be approved before the selection of space and payment on August 1.  Painting of spots will only take place on August 8 and 9 from 5-9pm. Painting days will be a group thing with pizza, drinks, and music.  

Basketball Concession: 

Hardest fundraiser but easy money but need reliable workers. Students can work but adults must keep the money. 

Homecoming Dance: 

High School only. Could bring a guest who is in other High School. Do NOT have a parent DJ or use a playlist.  Hire a DJ. 

Senior Shirts: 

Have students submit design ideas and then have class vote. Take presales. 

Middle School Dances: 

Are cash machines. Must have bathroom monitors. 

Desert Auctions: 

Need lots of donations. Coordinate with Coach Hunt- do not do when any ceremonies during halftime. Sell during varsity girls and boys games. Boys' games are the best crowd.  they made over $3000 with 6 auctions. 

Silent Auction: 

They did during the last home game. Might work better if you piggyback off of another event like the Football/Cheer banquet or such. 

American Legion Dinner: 

Easy money if you keep costs down.  But need volunteers. 

Restaurant nights:

Easy to set up but hard to do.  Not big money makers. 

SPJST:

Too much work, very little money. do not recommend. 

Sports Physicals:

Easy money. 

T-shirts:

Signed shirts for all grades.  Lots to coordinate but lots of money. 

Senior Parent Shirts- get them early. 

Spirit Ribbons:

Discussed selling Football spirit ribbons to elementary before school on Fridays.  

SENIOR TRIP: 

Fiesta Texas plus $15 cash

Schlitterbahn

Door prizes


SENIOR WEEK: 

Sunday - baccalaureate

Monday- Fiesta Texas (if decline then $55 Amazon card)

Tuesday- Senior Class meeting.  6 door prizes (attendance incentive) 9-1030

Wednesday- Summer Fun.  6 door prizes 

Thursday- Senior Walk. Group picture. Came back and 6 door prizes

Friday- Senior Breakfast. The last round of door prizes 16
